As the beach is small you may find it a bit crowded in the high-season, but the turquoise waters are perfect for a long swim and snorkeling in the crystal clear waters. You would need some good footwear for the almost two kilometers hiking heading towards the nearby beach of Cala Sanau. Remember to bring some drinks and food as there are no services by Cala Mitjana.

SAN SALVADOR
Visit of the monastery which has been founded in 1346. It is situated on top of a hill, 509 meters above sea level. From there you have a fantastic view, especially over the southeastern coast of the island and towards the Cabrera Islands. One a clear day you will also see the neighbor island Menorca. The restaurant upstairs in the older part of the monastery serve an excellent Paella and other typical dishes for visitors and pilgrims. Recommended for lunch. Avoid Sundays, as it is very busy and the restaurant is closed on Fridays.

CASTILLO DE SANTUERI
Is located strategically on the top of a hill, at 426 meters above sea level in the Serra de de Llevant and can be reached within 1-2 hrs walk from s'Horta football stadium or from the road connecting Felanitx with Cas Concos.
In addition to the wild flowers and endemic animal and plant-life, a stroll around the vast interior of the castle allows visitors to admire spectacular panoramic views of most of Mallorca from the Santueri Castle.

The almond trees come into blossom from early January to mid March. Then, the valleys between Palma and Sóller, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the train "Ferrocarril de Sóller" bloom white as snowfall. There are said to be more than six million trees on the island.

THE WEATHER
